Can anybody out there with a Catawba or similar A-frame tractor suggest what feeder/waterer works best? And maybe show me some pictures of how you hang it inside? How about giving grit? (OR will they really eat enough dirt walking around on my lawn in the tractor?)

Do you have food/water just in the run, or also up in the coop? They will be locked down at night!!!

I don't know what I would do without this forum.........

Check out my byc page for a waterer that would work in a tractor type situation. You can wire it up from the jug handle. Good luck!

Just wondering if you keep the cap on to keep stuff out and if it affect the water flow?

Think of jugs of laundry detergent. If you don't have the upper cap very loose or off the flow eventually stops.

Thanks for info. My nipples arrived today. I was contemplating milk jugs or PVC for in my run and coop.

Oh, I understand now. Okay, well I have the caps on but loose, I put them on and just press down! The water flow seems to be fine. I press on the nipple and the water comes out without any trouble. I don't hang them anywhere the chickens can roost over them anyhow. If I did, I would make sure the roost was wide enough that the poop couldn't get on the jug. Good luck!
