Tractor started - is very heavy already

Quote:
Very tidy looking. That is the quintessential chicken tractor, right there.
Hang the weight of a cinder block about 6" from the ground in the center and Bob will have to find another way to get free. Make it a hangin' waterer and it will do double duty - weight to stabilize yon tractor.... and water for Bob.

I started mine on wheels and I don't think that weight will be a problem. Size on the other hand, I am limited by the wheel base. I guess it will keep me frugal when making chicken decisions, no room for more.

Mines not terribly heavy, but awkward so I added wheels today

Obviously the run part is detachable, and I hope to be able to just drag that half. The run is my next project, sunny forecast all week!!

That is gorgeous! Superb craftmanship.
How will you muck it out, though, when it needs a good cleaning?

It's a doghouse kit, I didn't build it - I suck at sawing stuff in the same length. I did put it together though, assembling I can do. hehehe
I'm going to put something in the floor, linoleium or something similar that is pretty easy to clean off, and deep litter on top of it. Oh and the top isn't on it in the picture, half of it raises on hinges, and as pictured the whole roof can be taken off pretty easily (for humans with a screwdriver that is, hopefully raccoons haven't gotten THAT smart yet)
