Does anyone know what chick tsc has? My friend brought we 6 chicks from there 3 white , 3 buff and they didnt know what they were . I can get some pic tomorrow if needed, thanks for your time

TSC seems to carry a grab bag of chickens with Cornish Rock, assorted bantams, and sex links. My uncle works at one and I asked what the packing slips says on them and they just say "Assorted Bantams" and nothing else.... They're not too reliable on info. Another associate told me one bin was silkies, negative. I got two more to add to my flock and they are frizzles.

If you chose to get chicks from TSC I'd get them the same day they come in if possible. The chicks they did have left were so stressed out and half were in poor shape despite the employees best efforts to keep them healthy, so many people pick the poor babies up.

My TSC is very good about keeping the breeds marked in separate containers unless it is clearly 2 different breeds such as barred rocks with yellow chicks. Also they have fencing around the tubs and no one but the employee goes in to collect them for you. When I asked my store they said they never know what they will be getting until they come in.

Our TSCs also keeps fencing around the the chicks and no one is allowed to pick them up. I've never had terribly stressed chicks from TSC, and I tend to get there as late as I can and look around for bargains, like the $1 cornish rocks or $1.25 Tetra Tint pullets that were already two weeks old (which meant someone else had fed them for two weeks, yay).

The big problem with TSC is that often the employees have no clue about chicken breeds, and so they get the signs wrong (sold some poor BYCer white Leghorns instead of Cornish Rocks) or the birds get put in the wrong bin, etc. So unless you know what the chicks you want look like, you takes your chances.

All TSCs get different kinds of chicks. So there's no way for us to tell you what the chicks are unless we see pics. And even then, we can only guess because so many kinds of chicks look the same.
