Yeah i can see that. Its like I have and breed parakeets on a small scale and when you see what goes into actually caring for them and providing to have healthy birds and babies, you make no money on selling babies at all. You might even be losing. You have to love the chickens and the eggs are just a second bonus. At least thats how I think of it. This is why we chose bantamsNot always I love my chickens, but currently there are a lot of people who know nothing about chickens panic buying with the economy and egg prices. They are in for a rude awakening when they realize they are not saving any money by raising their own eggs.
