So, my daughter who goes to check for eggs for me came running in - "There's no eggs and I think ones dead!!!". I headed out and she was right. I had noticed one of the birds loitering up the top end of the coop this afternoon but thought nothing of it. I gave her an examination and noticed nothing peculiar so buried her.

Any ideas of causes? I don't think she was particularly old and laid an egg yesterday.

Has there been any change in diet, behavior, body, abnormal environment, possible predators/parasites, too many males, possibly she had eaten something she shouldn't have..?
