Ok, I've been reading others posts and looking at photos people have captured with their trailcams. So, I went and got me one of them to monitor what has been visiting the Chicken Coop. Here's my first photo capture:

Not a varmint, just the elusive longtailed egg eating Curmudgeon.

Ahhh, you gotta watch out for the egg-eating Curmudgeon! Especially the longtailed variety.

I take it this is a neighbor?

If that's the case, and you're not PO'd enough to go to the police about it, I rather liked Momaha's idea of the puzzle. Maybe with a note that reads: "I've solved MY puzzle!"

Seriously, is this a house mate, someone you know WELL or a nosey neighbor? I wouldn't take too kindly to a neighbor on my property at night. I definitely wouldn't send him a puzzle.

I really hope this is your spouse or at least a housemate.

bingo! I didn't realize it would catch me as I closed up the chicken door for the night on the backside of the coop. I set it to take a series of 3 pics, then wait 15 minutes before triggering again, it caught me in only one of the three snaps.
(I apologize for the lack of attire, I do live out in the boonies, and it was dark)
