I have 7 rooster in this springs batch of 17 chicks. At six weeks old three of my bantam cochins crowed. They are now 9 weeks old. They do not crow every morning but try to show what they can do later in the morning.

I have black cochin bantam that is very friendly and allows me to pick him up. Well I showed him a video of roosters crowing (youtube with my Iphone) and this was met with him pecking at my phone then crowing. So I put him down and played another video. He walked off to his flock and crowed. If I sit in my chair and play a video of crowing roosters he chimes in. So now when company comes over I know what I'm going to do.

Wow, sounds like fun.

PS, smoked cows' tongue is good.

I actually do enjoy cows tongue on a mexican sandwich. I don't like it when they salt it too much though. My grandpa used to say that anything that came out of an animals mouth was gross, like tongue. And for the humor he would say "give me an egg".
