Training Collie pup around chickens

I Just some chickens a few weeks ago.
I had some before, just not since 2019.
I also just got a collie puppy a few months ago. She’s not 5 months old.
I’ve had dogs before around my chickens but this is my first time getting a collie. I plan on training her to look after the chickens herd etc. Any advise anyone can give me on this will be appreciated!

I recommend safely introducing the pup to the chickens in short bursts. When the dog cant sit calmly around them walk her away. My collie had a big prey drive when we got her. I employed this method every day for hours on end. Now she'll just sit in the yard calmly with them and never attacks but it took a whole year to trust her not on a leash.
