Training Guinea Fowl to Kill Snakes

Guineas fending off snakes is an old wives' tale to me in my experience. I have a minimum of 20 guineas. Black/rat snake has repeatedly taken eggs out of a nest with sitting hens. The hens then abandon the entire nest. Frustrating.

Here at my place, it's a myth. If others experience have snake-fending guineas, bonus for you! (Maybe. I like black snakes for rodent control. The egg eating is a problem.)

Maybe they just don't go after big snakes. You guys seem to have really big snakes! I don't have really big snakes. Mostly garter snakes. I haven't seen any much thicker than a thumb.

I don't know about killing them beyond a garter snake I found pecked do death, but mine have definitely chased all of them off. I haven't seen any snakes inside the fence in years.
