Training Guineas to Coop

Regarding hot wires and Guineas...it is not a problem. I have goats enclosed in a 5 wire electric fence with the lowest wire about 8 inches from the ground. The Guineas cross back and forth with impunity many times a day. They stick their head under it and it glides over their back. They never get shocked. I guess their feathers insulate them.

When my dogs started raiding a nest I put a wire around the it and connected it to a solar powered fence charger. It sure cured the dogs appetite for Guinea eggs and the Guineas continued to lay there.
