Tramatized Chick 11 wks old

Bad news, My Barred Rocks were moved to a chicken tracker and doing well. But the racoons found a way in and killed 5 of the 6. I have one left and she is tramatized.. She is moving around and eating and drinking. How long should I leave her Isolated? She is the only one that is this age, the others are a lot older. I have an opportunity to get another Barred Rock of a similar age. Should I do that

I would get her a friend as soon as possible max a week without any contact with other chicken it will become lonely and depressed if it’s alone for too long, if you can’t get any her age an alternative could be to take one of your hens that is the lowest in the pecking order. You could also give it a cage next to your big hens so it can socialize but not being pecked or attacked and you can also spend some extra time with it.
Look out for depression symptoms and make sure it doesn’t withdraw completely from its normal self. The first few days it will be shocked and may not want to eat but make sure it drinks and you could offer it some scrambled eggs or something that you know it likes.I would also keep it somewhere warm,so that it can relax and recover.
I have had the same thing happen to me,I got it a new friend after 3 days and it went back to its normal self

Great idea, if you decide to get one her age, they might need to be i cages next to each other for a little bit, or you could put them together in the night, that usually works best
