Trampoline coops. Time to show them off!

I saw a picture of a great one online once. It used an old, solid satellite dish for the roof! It just fit. Then it had wire around the outside.

I came VERY close to using hte parts to mine for it. It is too big for our coop though. We have a 16ft one & only 6 chicks.

I am gonna use my trampoline as a run...It has wheels and its portable..My kids are grown so they dont use it. Between the springs and the black cover the top will be fine, just gonna put so chicken wire around it....

Just keeps the hawks and eagels out...When I am done I will post some pics.....

my chickens will sleep in there coop (racoons)...

Here's on of two coops that I made out of trampoline frames. Other items that I have used are swing sets and greenhouse frames. I find them to be very easy to convert with a little creativity. I have a total of five coops and will post photos one day when I can remember to take a camera out with me.

Here is a picture of mine... we have no predator problems other than the occasional coyote (which our 6 dogs have killed before) and they are only in it during the daytime. I plan on putting a tarp over part of it to have some shade during the day when we move it into the non-shaded part of our yard. We used chicken wire and lots of heavy duty zip ties... Also the frame liked to shift apart so we took the springs and hooked them so anywhere that the pieces could come apart the spring would hold it together. You could also fix that by welding, but we don't have a welder. If I were to do it again I would have paid more attention to the height I accidentally got 48 inch wire, but the frame is 36 so I feel that would have fit better, if you want more detailed pictures I can get them tomorrow.

I saw one online that had the run ladder coming straight up the middle into the main coop. Cant get approval to build that until we put more holes in it - so we gotta jump on it some more.
