Try the ABA. I breed them... mine are something better than pet but not quite show quality yet. Working progress. I'm not selling any eggs right now, but in the spring I will again.
If you really want good ones, I would try the ABA... find some breeders who win.
I have 5 bantams at the moment. About 2 months ago, I had a pair of SLWs-including a roo, and 2 BOs. I rehomed the SLW pair and the BOs and have a Sebright, a Sultan and 3 cochins. The Sebright was very close to the SLW roo and when he left, she seemed to take over as the new roo. She is very vocal and tells the squirrels to take a hike when they try to eat her tasty treats! She is always the one to go looking for the stragglers and is always the one to worry about a hurt hen. She's also the noisiest one in the morning. I should have kept the roo!
Yah, I have a dozen variety of chicken but the Sebright is by far my favorite of them all. So pretty, full of personality, and friendly too. I'd like to have more, maybe if my eggs hatch
but I'm not going to set myself up for disappointment.
