Transition coop

I've got 24 chicks about 6 weeks old. Do you think they could go outdoors if the coop has 1" chicken wire? I really don't want to have to rewire hardware with cloth. This coop will be used for breeding once they move in with the older hens. I'm sick of the dust and they are starting to get a little crowded. thanks for any input.

Main concern is that chicken wire is not predator proof. Don't know what predators you have to deal with, or if you have additional protection (i.e. hot wire). Otherwise the wire should be sufficient to keep them in.

Do you think they could go outdoors if the coop has 1" chicken wire?

It will keep the chicks in but not keep predators out.
