Transplanting Flower & Marigold sprouts?

I wondered what's the ideal age to transplant marigold seedlings outside?

By this I mean with priority towards 'survival' not necessarily other factors, even if its more work.

And, for flowers in general does it tend to be the same or what would you then for those?

I don’t start my marigolds inside, I just stick a seed in the dirt outside to let it grow, so I think for marigolds you can put them out at any time after freezing temperatures have changed.

It's according where you live at. I put my marigolds out in April and pray a late frost doesn't happen.

I start my marigolds inside 2 - 3 weeks before the last frost date. With 35 -50 days to bloom, this gives me a bit of color, and pollinator activity earlier on in the garden.
