Just wondering, am I allowed to "transport" a few chickens from one state to another?

It depends. Are you selling them or moving? I believe you have to have a license to transport chickens outside of your state if you are selling. Some states are especially strict because of the AI outbreak. I feel like if you are just moving you can just bring them with you, but I've never moved out of state so I am not entirely sure.

What state are you moving to and from? I would research a little. If it were me, I would bring them like any pet, and if you get in trouble, pull the I didnt know.

Just checked it ( I hadn't checked in a while). Looks like NC does have more cases. I think it'll be okay though.
