Transporting Sheep

I hauled four 3 month old lambs in a wire cage that was 42" x 42". It was during the summer. This time of year you can pack them in much tighter than you can in the summer though. We hauled 20 full grown boer goats from Texas to south Carolina in a 16' stock trailer.

My personal thought is, the bigger the better. The biggest your truck can reasonably handle will likely be more comfortable for any animals you haul, not just sheep. When you haul long distance, the animals can rest and be fed and watered if they are not crammed in.
