Trap nests for Ducks

Does anyone have any experience with trap nesting ducks to determine who is laying and who is not?? If yes, does it upset them? It seems any little thing I do that throws off their routine causes some of them not to lay. For example I was getting 10-12 eggs a day, changed their pasture area - larger, more bugs, more pools etc. - but now for the last 3 days I've only been getting 5-6 eggs.

I wouldn't advise it. It sounds very stressful to the ducks. You can usually determine who's laying by measuring the pelvis space:
