A young scaredy cat (no pun intended) has moved in under our shed/coop. We’ve been feeding it but we’re not living at the house right now. I want to catch it while I’m back at the house for a couple days.

Do you think a live trap from TSC will work? It doesn’t come out from under the shed when we’re here, except it’ll poke its head out once in a while.

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure I caught my own cat in one last year, haha. He didn't mind and got let out quick XD Might need to establish a feeding habit first but I'm sure it can work eventually.

When we first moved into our house we had stray cats living in our garage. A mama with a litter of kittens. And other cats as well. We used a large live trap with tuna or canned cat food. We quickly caught them and the humane society took them. I dod this a few months ago to a stray but he went to live at a friends farm and is doing well

If you catch a skunk ..... hold a blanket up in front of you like a shield. Walk toward the trap. Cover the trap with the blanket. If the skunk can't see you (or any human) it won't spray. Take the trap to where you want to release it (on your own property or someplace where you have permission to do so) and open the trap, keeping it covered. Back away. When the skunk is gone, retrieve trap and blanket. OR .... at some safe location, shoot it, making sure it does not see you.

Thank you, this was very helpful! I will be setting the trap Friday night, hopefully I can get her/him in without too much trouble!
