Yes, she's inside. Is she inside? I'd keep her in till at least she is done with meds so you can keep a close eye on her.Making sure she is eating drinking and still acting healthy.
They were all Cayuga's. I got her from Murray Mcmurray, shipped in the mail. My friend (avian vet) said that around her age 4-5 weeks there is a major growth spurt, and if there are any genetic abnormalities this would be the time for them to show up. There were a couple red flags, but ava never seemed sick or got sick. The first to die was the smallest one. And he was a bit malformed. Then by size they all died. Ava kept growing and the rest just stopped and died. Another reason is that they were all from the same hatch.Yay for Ava! I’m glad she was able to pull through this.
Out of curiosity, what makes you think it was genetic? What breed is Ava and where did you get her?
Um, our water was tested already, this is a new house and we had it all tested before moving in. Thanks. My children were also recently tested for lead, and all came back well.I believe that the water you used has something in it . For your own health and your birds , have it tested . Some ducks of the same batch may have a greater tolerance to things like chlorine poisoning , arsenic traces , lead poison , I don't think your problem is solved , I believe this is some kind of poisoning . Please let me know if you pursue this matter . An up date would be nice . I read this whole thread and many experts have given great advice . This is only my opinion . Good luck .![]()
