Right now I have 6 hens and a roo and aoon I'll be headed to tennessee from md. It's like a 10 hour drive. What is the best way to travel with my birds? I may have access to a trailer at the time. A horse trailer that's very large and they wouldn't be able to get out of. Any thoughts? Do I have to get them seperate cages? How to water them on the road?

Try some pet carriers or several ventilated boxes. A trailer is over kill for 7 birds. They can go 10 hours without food or water (so can you). Put some fruit into their containers. It wont create a wet mess and they can peck at it throughout the trip.

Cool. I think I'll offer then water whenever we stop for breaks. But not food....the less poop smell the better lol and maybe give me some scrambled eggs for breakfast before leaving. Thank you.
