Hope this doesn't sound dumb, but my chicks are finally deciding to try new things and maybe even like them, lol!

Say I'm giving them a strawberry - do I chop it super fine or just throw some out so they can pick at them? I chopped them up and they get a piece but don't necessarily swallow it.

They are even starting to get the hang of meal worms! Such fun

I chop some stuff up, but leave alot whole so they have to work for it and make the treat last longer.

Leave it whole. Their beaks are strong and made for tearing things into little pieces. Or if not, I've seen a hen swallow a half grown mouse whole and she suffered no ill effects. That's the purpose of the gizzard, to grind large pieces of food for digestion.
