treating bumblefoot HELP PLZZZ

I have only treated bumblefoot in adult birds so I don't know what to do with chicks.
With the adults, I soak the foor in epson salts/water for as long as they will let me (15 min is ideal). I then coat the entire foot with blukote. Mine have never let me wrap the foot with vet tape, but if you can it keeps the foot cleaner. I just found that was one job I couldn't do by myself. I then give them a shot of PenG (an antibiotic you can get at the co-op).

Try doing a search for bumblefoot. There are a number of really good threads that explain in more detail what to do.

Good luck!

I can't imagine a "new chick" having bumblefoot. Can you post a pic or give more information? How old are they?
