Treating coccidiosis

He weighs 3lbs and was given 0.25ml orally of the Safe-Guard Suspension 10%.
I drenched a small bite of bread with the Safe-Guard and he ate it. Did I mess up by putting it in the bread instead of squirting in his beak?
For just roundworms or cecal worms I would give ~0.75 ml to a 3 pound bird. For capillary worms I give it 5 days in a row.

This is a prescription that my friend was given:

I guess I underdosed? This is my first time dealing with worms. I will dose again when I get home.
Do those look like round or capilliaries?
I will know for sure tomorrow when the fecal test comes back from the vet.

Those are large roundworms.

Thank you. With the correct dosage, how quickly does the Safeguard kill the worms? How soon will I see improvement in my cockerel?
And I should repeat another dose in 10 days correct?

I think they will all be dead the next day or two, but don't quote me on that. And the dose is usually repeated in 10 days. Did you tell the vet about the worm?

The worm was in the fecal sample I dropped off at the vet. They saw and said we obviously have a worm problem, but wont recommend anything until the tests are run. They will have the results tomorrow.
I dosed al 6 Ameraucana's late this afternoon with Safeguard. (0.25ml per lb). I still have the cockerel isolated because he isn't as active as the other 5.
The cockerel was filthy from the loose stool. We bathed him and he perked up a bit. He was eating and drinking when I put him back in the garage in his cage. Hoping I don't loose him.

Any products available to kill the larvae that are in the dirt to help prevent future infestations?
