Treating for Sour crop: she’s getting worse

I don’t know what else to do at this point. She has gotten worse overnight. She can no longer hold her head up and I can tell it is an effort for her to open her eyes.( She did once when I lifted her head up ) She is still breathing deep breathes I can see as she lays there. I am afraid to give her the micanazole dose because she has only gone downhill since I started that. We started that because of sour crop and her crop seems a little more empty today but she looks lifeless. If you didn’t observe her breathing you wouldn’t know she was alive.
I'm so sorry she's gotten worse. :hugs

Thank you. I am grateful for the advice and the support. It makes this slightly less difficult to deal with to know there are people out there who care and are willing to help! I really appreciate that. This hen is one of the first that my daughter and I raided from a chick. Which makes this heartbreaking. All in all I think it’s too late for my Speckled girl. I got back from the store and got the molasses diluted in warm water and when I went to give it to her she won’t even open her eyes anymore. She is laying with her head down and is so weak she is barely breathing. I am praying for a miracle but if the good lord wants her I pray he takes her quickly.

Try getting her to drink it herself by dipping her beak in the water a few times. If she doesn't drink it on her own, carefully give it to her in a syringe by putting it on her tongue and try getting her to drink it that way.
Thank you for all your help and advice. I am forever grateful for the support, insight and encouragement. I got back from the store and my hen won’t even open her eyes. She is so weak she can’t hold her head up and is barely breathing. I tried to get her to drink the molasses by dropper but she couldn’t. I thought about syringe feeding it to her but since she can’t hold her own head up I don’t want it to come back up and her potentially aspirate it. I am just gonna make her as comfortable as I can and pray.

Thank you. She passed away about an hour ago. 😢💔 My daughter picked her out as a day old chick and she was very special to us. She was such a sweet girl and I will miss her.
Thank you for sharing your advice and for the help when I wasn’t sure what way to go. It means a lot.
I’m posting some photos of her in her memory.
Thanks again.

So sorry.

I would still try the straight molasses just in case it might work although it's a long shot at this point. You can't know what's happening inside her. She may just have an impaction or she could have some kind of cancer.

This is how it's done so you don't aspirate the chicken if you decide to try.

Thank you for the link to the article. I will keep it in case I need it in the future.
Unfortunately she passed away shortly after I got home from buying the molasses. 😢 I really appreciate the support and advice. It means a lot to me that this community exists and that you all are so supportive and willing to help.
