Treating lawn with Sulfur

I want to treat my yard this week and normally only use sulfur. How long after I apply the sulfur would it be safe for my chickens to free range? I use sulphur to keep bugs down for my 3 dogs and now i have 3 chickens this year...

I don't think the sulfur will have any adverse effects on the chickens.
