Treating Wry Neck In Crested Duckling *EDITED TITLE*

Hey Finny, this is what I have been doing...

I am feeding Mazuri Waterfowl Started. Approximately 2 cups of mash (feed with warm water), and constant access to dry each day. She has plain water that is changed twice a day.

3 drops Polyvisol without Iron
3 drops selenium
3 drops Predosolone
all mixed together and administered with eyedropper twice a day (8am & 8pm)

The dose may seem high but I am figuring the amount that stays in the mixing cup and eyedropper. I do not mix the dose in water I place it directly into her beak so that I am sure she is getting as much of the meds as possible.

I got the prednisolone from my sister, her daughter was prescribed it for asthma. The selenium is 14cc of warm water mixed with one crushed 200mcg selenium (CVS).

I am winging it with this combination, but it seems to be working so far. Good luck with you're baby. Please keep us posted and add pics.

Thanks so much :).

I googled both breeds and saw pictures. It is possible that he had Cayugas, they look the same to me.
Except for size East indie is considered bantam but I'm sure they can probably be on the larger size to. like I have mini Dachshunds but mine weigh over 10lbs. so they aren't the tiny minis. see what I mean.

I removed the divider. They were so excited they were running from one end of the brooder to the other. I tried to get pictures so you can compare their sizes but they wouldn't hold still. Here's the best one I could get.

Wow, you're right, that is a big duck!
Yes, she is big considering her age. After Miss Lydia mentioning Cayugas I'm thinking Indie is not an East Indie. Wonder if my other one is a Khaki Campbell? The guy I got them from had TONS of ducks and ducklings. They all appeared very well cared for so I'm glad I got them from him. I have heard horror stories from others about local breeders.

He had a pair of Royal Palm turkeys, if he'd have had any of their chicks I'd have gotten a couple of those too! It's like going to the grocery store for just a few things and walking out with a cart full
