Qwackers was born February 10th, Indie and Raj February 14th, so I think we have a few more months to go before we get any eggs.

I think I have spoken too soon, Raj has grown a curly tail feather over night!

So now I guess I have 2 boys?

I am kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place now...I can't keep 2 drakes together with no females, and IF Qwackers is a girl she can't be house with 2 boys. I thought about re-homing Indie and Raj, and finding a few grown females but I really don't have anywhere to quarantine new ducks for a month. I am going to get a hold of the breeder that I bought Indie and Raj from and see if he has any grown females that he can sell. He is NPIP and all of his birds are very well taken care of and healthy.

I know, that curled feather came in overnight! I'm waiting to hear back from the breeder.

Maybe you should just get 4-5 more females and have a nice little flock.

I thought about that but I just don't have the run space and mine aren't able to free range yet. Qwackers has a little house and a 6'X12' run, and Indie and Raj have the same size run of their own. I know that technically I have enough room for more, but I don't want to crowd them in. Originally my plan was to only have chickens, the ducks were a surprise gift from my sister.

The breeder just got back to me. He is going to take Indie and Raj and I will be picking up 2 females tomorrow. They're mixed breed, but that is fine with me, he said they're very calm. I hope that they're calm enough that I can take the divider down and let them live together

Yeah, I will let them have a few weeks with the divider, then I'll leave the door between the two spaces open so they can intermingle. I'll keep a close eye on Qwackers "hair" for bald spots;-)

I hope so, maybe the picking was because they're both boys? I will post pictures when I pick up the new girls. I hate to let Indie and Raj go but I know they will be well taken care of and will be surrounded by females to keep them happy.
