Hello again my dear friensf, hiphyou are all doing well. I want to know a successful treatment for nectotic enteritis . I suspect that my flock is having that infection.

What should I do? Is it treatable? Their combs are very pale . Not eating that much. Doing dark brown poops.

What are other symptoms of that? Is lincomycin effective against that or cefixime

Thanks!!

How are your chickens acting? Are they lethargic and and puffed up? Have you treated first for possible coccidiosis? Amprollium (Corid, coxoid) or sulfa antibiotics are generally used to treat that. Coccidiosis is often a precursor to enteritis. If you have a good regular vet or avian vet, they could test the droppings of a sick bird for coccidia and do a gram stain for possible enteritis. Enteritis is usually caused by clostridium perfringens in the soil. Many common antibiotics do treat enteritis, and those are penicillin, amoxicillin, tylan, bacitracin, and lincomycin 64 mg per gallon of water for 7 days.

They are a bit active. My rooster don't eat that much . I hand feed him.

Giving them yoghurt , garlic mixture with pallets. Boiled eggs and green veggies.

Test report for coccidiosis came negative on 13th of last month . How many litter a gallon equal s to?

Latest pics and report

Thanks!
