Don't feed them tomato plants, but other than that, they'll let you know what they like. Both mealworms and super worms are pretty high in fat, so don't go overboard with those.

Treats should never be more than 10% of their diet.

Crickets and feeder roaches (B. Dubia) are what I give my birds. Less fat than mealworms and much more fun to chase, but they do get a mealworm now and then. Seeds are also a good treat, like spray millet for parrots, sorghum, sesame seeds, chia, grass seed, they’ll eat most small seeds they can swallow. Some of mine like greens more than others, dandelion from the yard seems to be favored over any other kind of plant. One hen eats so much dandelion greens her yolks are a noticeable shade more yellow. Chop the leaves into small bits so they can eat it easier. Cucumber is a big favorite, watermelon is acceptable. I keep Coturnix and unlike chickens they hate most fruits, they won’t even look at a grape or strawberry.

Mine like various squashes. They also go nuts for Swiss chard, which I give them as whole huge leaves and they tug and play with it. For hand fed treats they get birdseed.

I know they can eat pasta and rice! I’m pretty sure cucumber too! (Without sauce of course)
