Treehouse Chicken Coop

Any thoughts of whether or not they would be able to enter/exit if we cut an opening in the floor vs. an opening on the side?
If the ladder is slanted enough, they should be able to go through a opening on the floor. Though they might like a side opening better.

I think I would put up sides below the tree house floor and a roost under it and drop/rebuild the roof lower. Still need a run. No way to get around time and/or money.
Are you saying to just build the space underneath into a coop? That has crossed our mind but the enclosed treehouse is not being used which is why I asked if that as a coop would be doable :) we have a run

Sometimes you can get free pallets from grocery stores, feed stores etc. They can be handy for building walls or broken down just for wood. Takes some doin. But it’s free wood!

I can't see it inside, but the 4 posts holding it 'up', couldn't you just shorten those and lower it as opposed to fully deconstructing and reconstructing to lower it?
Unfortunately, no. We would have to deconstruct it. It’s not build around a tree, it’s basically just a very high fort house.
