Tribute to Nero

Hi guys,

the hen in this picture is Nero. Her breed is Nero hybrid.(I couldn't think of a name for her)

She was born on 20/10/2012. She is still alive but she has quite a story. I am a first time chicken keeper and i got my first chooks February Nero,Bella & Dot. Around April she was extremely badly feather pecked and had a bald vent,back & part of her neck. She still sang her heart out and was her cheeky self. Everything was good until early August when she got an impacted crop, and thanks to you guys here on BYC, she pulled through. I gave her white maggots and hourly massages. She was back to herself within a few days.last week her new feathers started to come in on her back but they were being pulled out.

I ordered her a saddle which came on Friday. She happily wears it and continues to be cheeky and cute.
