Hi, newbie to breeding quails here. I purchased 3 females and one male this spring, and the male has been doing his duty, so to speak. The problem is that I haven't had a single hen go broody even though they're laying eggs every day. They like laying in the same corner but none of them are sitting on the eggs.

Am I just unlucky or is there something I can do to get them broody? I thought they would've hatched some eggs by now.

From what I hear, Quail never go broody. I think it has been bred out of them. You would have to incubate the eggs. :)
