What symptoms or illness are you wanting to use it for? Casportpony has a lot of drug dosages in her Plumbs Veterinary Handbook and others if you need them. TMP-SMZ are sold online labeled as fish sulfa forte and bird sulfa. It is the same as human Bactrim, and used to treat many types of infections in animals. It can be overkill if used on something that a lesser powerful or expensive antibiotic is needed. Do some use it in chickens? Sure, but the FDA has made many antibiotics available only through a vet's prescription since Jan 1, 2017. SMZ alone used to be commonly available for treating coccidiosis in the US. I would not use antibiotics unless I knew what I was treating, and if I was using the right antibiotic, since an organism may be resistant to one, but not another. Overuse of antibiotics creates resistant bacteria. There are almost no antibiotics approved for use in poultry by the FDA. Consideration about egg and meat withdrawal for drugs should be considered before using. And the correct dosage should be followed. Here are some links to read:
