I have a year old Pekin who lost the ability to stand completely upright on one of his legs due to a slipped tendon a long while ago. he gets around just fine by using the leg as a "paddle", and can even run if he flaps his wings a little. because of the lack of usage of his right leg, the claws have grown out pretty long. How can I trim them? They're long enough to get caught on something. I have a goat hoof trimmer, but that's the closest thing I have to a nail clippers. I also have a dog claw trimmer. will either of these work? I don't want to end up breaking his claws if I use the wrong thing. thanks!

Just be careful how much you trim off,try a file or emery board they work well and you don’t have to worry about cutting do much and have them bleed I use an Emory Board on one of my ducks that likes to clime on me so he doesn’t rip me to shreds.
