Trimming nails and beaks - too long!

My polish have been kept inside until the other day and I noticed that their beaks and nails have got very long. THey are now outside. WIll they wear down naturally now or should I trim them? They don't seem to be uncomfortable yet...

How old are they? I would think that just getting them outside would help.

It will take a few weeks but they will wear down with scratching around. If you really want to trim them, you can use dog nail clippers and be very very very careful not to cut too much as their nails will bleed if you cut into the quick.

They are six months old. I think I am just going to wait and watch. I hate trimming nails, our poor dog can attest to that, I take her to someone else to get it done because i am afraid of cutting the quick.
