Trimming nails?

Do you guys ever do this? I picked up my little Rouen today and he scratched my arm with his nails pretty hard. I was surprised because his nails had never been as long as they looked! Will they keep growing and should I trim them?

I'm new to owning ducks, have four 1 week old muscovy's. I would assume duck nails can be trimmed just like parrots and other birds though. I'm planning on keeping mine trimmed cuz I know scovy's get horendous nails lol and mine are pets so I don't wanna get all scratched up.
