I have a chance to aquire a trio of geese. Do geese have to be raised in in pairs or can a gander handle more than one hen?

It´s what you prefer to keep. Whereas a cockerel is best with a number of hens, a gander is quite happy with just one gal. It´s more natural for them this way, but many people keep a gander with a number of geese, so it´s what you want, really. I have fewer ganders than geese and find that the ganders have a favourite goose and the other ones get a little neglected. I´m going to keep some of the young ganders from this year to balance things up a bit. But it also depends on your set-up. Mine are free-range.I have a chance to aquire a trio of geese.
