Please can anyone help as I am struggling to sex our ducks.
They are 10.5 weeks old, Aylesbury/Pekin crosses.
I tried vent sexing them when they were ducklings, but as a complete amateur I just wasn't sure.
Now they are much older, they are HUGE and seem to be fully feathered, but I can't really see any sign of the curly tail feather that drakes have, yet. What age does that come?
I believe the quack is a good indication, and we do have two that seem to do a louder "proper" quack sometimes, while the other two are a bit quieter with a more hissy quack - but there is only a slight difference in the sound, and sometimes they all sound hissy.
It's very confusing, and getting to be a problem because where they being kept we don't really have room to keep all four - one is destined for the oven very soon.
I really want to end up with two ducks and one drake, so I am very anxious not to kill a duck instead of a drake!
Please help!
Thanks!

This should help you voice sex them:

It's in another language, so in order, the first one is a drake, then a duck, then a male duckling, then a female duckling.
