Hi there. Two days ago I brought home four buffs from my local TSC. They are roughly 1.5-2 weeks old (the employee couldn't give me an exact hatch date) and have been settling in OK. We've had some issues getting the temps dialed in (I'm in Michigan and it's still cold here, but they're in my basement under a heat lamp and brooder plate with lots of space to regulate their temp). But they've been eating, drinking, etc. Their brooder is lined with shelf liner and pine flakes.

Today, I got them a little perch to try out in their brooder as a boredom buster, but one of the chicks slipped getting off it and is now squat-walking. I took her out and immediately inspected her legs -- they look fine. No discoloration, no bending where they shouldn't be, no crookedness, etc. No pasting over on her butt either. If I isolate her and put her on paper towel, and when I put her back in the brooder, she can stand up and move just fine. But as soon as she gets knocked over or lays down, she has trouble getting back up again.

So far, I've tried some stuff mentioned on other threads here: a bit of vitamin E directly in her beak, and some sugar water. I tried making a hobble with some vet tape and a bandaid, but that seemed to be ineffective--she just wanted to squat and not even try to stand.

What else can/should I do? Wait it out? Isolate her? She's not being picked on, as far as I can tell, so I feel isolating her may just cause more stress.
