I have an oldie but goodie incubator. It's a lyon, model rx, with a marsh incubator automatic turner. Included pics.
This thing has hatched many a chick for me, keeps very even temps, nice humidity levels, blah blah blah.
Now I am going to hatch some eggs for a friend, so she can have them laying next spring. My auto turner, which has always turned the eggs once an hour is now turning constantly. I beat on the thing, a few times, and it stopped. But when it came time to turn again, it wouldn't stop stop again. Can anyone help?

I would get in touch with a technician at Lyon. More than likely your going to have to replace a part inside the turner or the complete turner. Either way will probably be expensive. In the meantime you can disconnect the rod from the turner and turn them manually pulling or pushing the rod. www.lyonusa.com

Oh man, I only paid $40 for it. And it has a few other hiccups, I think it's upset that little mama hatched the chicks this year

guess I need to see how much it going to cost

Inside the turner there two motors one is the timer bypass motor and the other is the turner motor what has happened is the little limit switch on the turning motor has slipped and is no longer making contact with the cam on the motor shaft, open your box and reset the limit switch. when you open the black box you will see the limit switch the little button has to be depressed at the end of the stroke.
