my silkies are all super thin and they wont gain weight, yet the mix breed hen i have in with them is super fat, and i mean FAT! i know its harder to keep weight on them but really im embarested at how thin they are. they were getting fed Houles 20% grain pellets but the younger ones couldnt eat the large pellets and they didnt seem to like it as much so i switched to fleet farms layer crumble. they also get fed sunflower seeds and left overs often. no corn cause that would cause my white silkies to turn yellow. what do you guys do to keep weight on your birds? im only having problems with my silkies my other flock eat the same thing and their fine.
