trouble with pullets first egg lay

I can't thank you enough, I thought I was loosing her!
You can continue for a week. And as for her tiny little throat - a chicken can swallow a mouse or a frog, whole, no worries. If you look in their beak and see a tiny opening at the center back, that's not where food goes. That goes to the lungs.
you were absolutely correct, that pill went right down! And this morning, I had a small green egg! We washed her butt again this morning, and I'll continue with the pills for the remainder of the week. Hopefully future eggs will not be a problem.. thanks again!!

also I'm picking up some Oyster shell

I'm picking up some oyster shell today. I had been offering crushed up egg shells, but they weren't interested.

Thanks for the update, glad to hear she's doing better!

sadly, I was not able to save my little Ice Cream Bar chicken. She would be normal for three days or so, then she would have nasty stuff on her butt and be listless, tail down. I have been providing oyster shells. We would wash her butt, give her another pill, and she'd be back to normal. I have her sister here who is fine, and I'm sure now the sister was laying the green eggs, the problem chick was not. This pattern went on for weeks until this past week, when she did not perk up after the washing and pill. Exceptionally bad stuff was coming out of her now, I found her this morning barely alive. I had to put her out of her misery. Thank you so much for all your help. Hopefully my two new pullets will be able to lay eggs without issue.
