Two Rhode Island Red Hens-- 2 years old. One stopped laying in July. The other has been laying soft eggs or thin shelled eggs for over three weeks. It coincides with a very busy time for our family... but we are caring for them well... and added oyster shells to their organic feed at least three months ago. What else should I be doing to get them back to normal?

I would make sure that your feed has enough calcium in it already. I also mashed up some egg shells for one of my hens when she kept laying soft eggs and it seemed to help. I read somewhere that you should cook them first though.... good luck!
