What do you think of the idea? I’ve a quart of the thick, brush-on bed liner paint that I was planning to use for the floor of the coop to ease cleaning. Any downsides you can think of? I could buy deck paint or something if there was a good reason but I have the other on hand.

I would compare the data sheet for the bed paint vs Black Jack #57 (which several of us use for coop floors) and see if they're comparable.

Also you optimally should paint the floor and about a foot up on the floor, in order to seal the floor-to-wall crevices and to catch some "splash" damage.

Thank you, @rosemarythyme ! I’ll look into it. I’ll likely paint the walls as well but with some other product. I bought the truck bed paint to fix a small spot in my bed but only used like a tablespoon, so I thought this might be a good way to keep it from going to waste.

The coop so far. My wife specified a cute building, so I am trying. There are sofit vents as well, and metal roofing, and it will go on a platform and be attached to a run. Not totally sure how I will get it out of the garage, though! 🧐
