Truck topper chicken coop

I thought about a truck topper because I like those sliding windows for ventilation, but ventilation needs to be well over their heads in our winters (Vermont).
...and that ventilation needs to be protected from rain and snow.

I don't think a truck topper is a good idea in the long run, but....
quick search reveals other have used them:

We are brand new to raising chickens and plan to start this spring. ....We are bouncing back and forth between between nervousness and excitement about this new endeavor and would appreciate any and all advice. Thank you!!
Welcome to BYC!
Good to spend the winter researching and planning.
Lots of little details can make life with chickens much easier.

I'm not sure how you can attach hardware cloth to the window openings, but don't count on the screen that's on there to keep predators out.

One way is to make a wooden frame slightly bigger than the area being covered....in this case the window. Then bolt it to the topper with hardware cloth in between the frame and the window....lots of bolts. I would do a bolt every 4-6" .
