True or false??

I figured so, but every so often when talking about bigger breeds like Brahmas and JGs this idea constantly pops up, and I have never seen it supported but folks are adamant it is true for whatever reason.
My Brahmas are very eager to breed asap. Only certain ones are kept for a gene expression study we are a part of. Last year 2 roosters were kept out of the flock and never got to breed (poor fellas). When we processed them, they went into the freezer weighing 6.5 and 7lbs at 10mos old. The 2 roosters allowed to breed were eventually butchered and they weighed in at 6.5 and 7.5 lbs at 12 mos old. Each pair were brothers but from different fathers and were fed the same feed. The non-breeders were about 30" tall while the breeders were only 28" tall.
Genetics determine what they can be. Good nutrition makes sure they get there.

So, I guess the big question is how did such an idea begin??? It makes no sense yet there are those who subscribe to it. Any other strange poulty myths out there?
Some people lack common sense, and their 'friends' support and spread the misinformation....common human condition, gotten expotentially worse with the interwebs.

There are a couple long threads here about poultry myths and wivestales.
Tried to search for it, not for long, IIRC the title was rather odd and long.

Here's one:

Lol, those 2" though! No, I'm glad to see quantifiable results quash this myth.

Lol, too funny!! It really boggles the mind how these ideas or whatnot began!

So here is another backyard idea I am now encountering that really sounds a bit strange...

So people are serious about importing "the Giant Brahmas" from overseas, as somehow the ones we have here are not true size Brahmas, I am not quite sure where this came from but it sounds a bit ridiculous.
