True Wheaten Ameraucana??

So upon researching more about the color I came across a breeder of Ameracauna chickens who graciously answered my FB message.

HE is an Isabel Ameraucana cockerel.

I am super bummed

I know this is a bit of an older thread but I just wanted to add that Ameraucanas go through an “uglies” stage. When you originally posted about your pullet she had her feathers in but a chick fluff beard still. As you found out, she does have a beard it’s just one of the last things to feather. You must be patient with them!

She's very pretty! I'm new to wheaten ameraucanas, just got my first 3 pullets!!... From what I'm researching, she doesn't look to SOP, but looks like pure wheaten to me! I'd be happy with mine turning out like that And a huge bonus if they're friendly!!
