Hello everyone,
My wife and I are new to raising chickens. We live near coastal Texas. I am almost finished building our chicken tractor. We are interested in Red Star pullers for their brown eggs and friendly temperament. We plan to start with a flock of 5-6. I have included a picture of our coop.

:frow hey there, howdy from SE Missouri! I have relatives not far from Galveston. But they have no chickens, poor things. Your chicken tractor is coming along nicely. When you get 'er done, you'll need to start on another one because of a dread disorder you'll soon find yourself afflicted with. It is called... Chicken Math. Simply described, it just means, well... that 5 or 6 chickens just aren't enough. I can testify. I have 25 pullets/ hens and two handsome boys, and I'm trying to figure out whether I have room for 10 or 15 more.

I don't. :hit Lol. Enjoy your flock. And hanging out here. Chickens aren't just birds. They're an affliction. And an addiction! 😆
