I plugged the Black Bean Chocolate Cake recipe into Weight Watchers. For 9 servings, it's 5 pts per serving.

PaulaJoAnne, what's the oven temperature for baking the cake? I couldn't find that.

I'm excited about trying this! Chocolate cake without guilt!

This is a recipe a friend gave me last year from weight watchers. It sure fixed my chocolate craving and it is only 1 point!

Brownies

3 cups All Bran cereal
2 1/2 cups water
1 pkg Always Save brownie mix or (comparable cheapie mix!)
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla

Soak All Bran in water for 5 mins. Mix in all other ingredients and bake in 9x13 in 350 degree oven for 30 to 35 mins. Cut in 24 squares.

No real nourishment.

I wasn't worried about nourishment! This is just a chocolate fix we're talking about! LOL!!

Ah, then you do need to try on of the recipes I posted

They offer such a rich flavor without consequences to ones health.
Real fats are nourishing and do not cause trouble.

PaulaJoAnne, I hope you don't mind, but I shared the recipe with my pals over at sufficientself with a link to your blog.

We see the oven temp is supposed to be 350, but how long do you think it takes? Approx. time?

Thank you so much for sharing, I have my black beans lacto-fermenting as we speak!

ummmm, till its done? LOL! I honestly have no idea!
Reason being, my oven has not worked in some time, so, we have been "baking: in our smoker/grill.
The process is a bit dicey, to say the least, but I do get a wonderful product ever time! That is, if I remember to place the cookie sheet on the next rack down, to disperse the heat better, LOL!

The key with this cake, is to make sure and almost underbake it. It over bakes very easily, due to the beans.

I baked it in a 9" square glass pan at 350* for 30 min. I used a cake tester to test for doneness - a toothpick would have done the same.

Also...I used canned black beans, rinsed ....no gas issues
